1946 Hudson 8 Pick Up Truck for sale
Current customer rating:
This is a California Truck that I had purchased and brought to Arkansas several years ago. I now have to realize that I won't have the time to deal with it any time soon.
It is what you call a rust free truck. The body is solid as are the floor. doors and hood as well as the tail gate and the bed. Someone did a real bad job trying to flare the rear fenders. The wood in the bed is mostly gone but the frame is solid.
Many years back. someone tried to customize the old farm truck and got as far as replacing the original bench with buckets. replacing the gauges and installing a what seems to be 327 SBC with TH 350 transmission. It never got finished. The chains that held the engine to the cherry picker are still attached and there is a note written onto the valve cover that the cylinder heads of the rebuilt engine still need to be torqued down.
In the bed you find the straight 8 and the manual transmission that were removed. I'm sure all they're good for is as a core.
Anyhow. Hudson trucks are tough to find and a solid body like this one is rare. It is a great start for a restoration or a hot rod project. It is just a very cool looking truck.
Since the truck is for sale locally as well. I reserve the right to end the auction at any given time.
