A rare car. nbsp;believed to be one of the last made in 1963.

It is a Studebaker Daytona Wagonaire with 30500 genuine miles on the clock.   You come across car like this once in a lifetime. We hold paperwork going back to where the car was originally bought at the London Motor Show.   The paperwork itself is like a little history book!!

Now for the car itself. obviously. as you can see from the pictures. the car is in need of complete restoration but we believe that the bodywork is sound and all original.

The car does not run but was last started about two years ago.   The car is complete with original parts but requires restoration and has been dry stored for the last 30 years.

The upholstery on the seats is immaculate with no rips.   The dash is immaculate and complete.   There is one door handle missing on the passenger rear door.

Now we come to the unique selling point on this car. It has a fully working sliding roof.   The glass in the back window winds down and the roof manually slides into front roof. nbsp; hence the name Wagonaire. We believe this was to allow people to put their chairs in the back of the car so that they could watch either Horse Racing or Polo or the like. nbsp; so that they could sit and eat their picnics and have a good view of all that was going on around them.
