This listing is for my beloved

Marcos GT 1500 1967 which I have owner since 2002

The previous owner had it for over nineteen years

It is the rare wooden chassis example

 

A lot of refurbishment work has been carried out.

The interior was retrimed in black with yellowing piping

This was carried out by the previous owner. who is a professional trimmer.

The new bonnet need to be fettled due to the

twin 40 carbs now fitted then painted

 

Rebuilt engine has been rebuilt to the following spec

Special 1720cc pre crossflow engine

Twin 40 DCOE webber carbs

New fast road camshaft

New Big valve heads

Light weight flywheel

Rated - 120 hp at the rear wheels

 

Corsair 2000E close-ratio four speed g/box

New battery

New Radiator

New Track rod ends fitted

Front brakes - new calipers and discs

Rear Brake reconditioned

New tyres all round

Original Minilite 13” magnesium wheels powder coated

 

The engine runs fine and the car does drives but currently the car is off the road and does not have an MOT

Being a 1967 car it is exempt for Road Tax

Is the yellow car still for sale and how much will buy it and if we can buy the car could it be converted to a gt 1800 Volvo engine and Volvo overdrive gearbox I will be away for 2 weeks in us I will contact you on my return if the car is still available look forward to hearing from you

Hi what's the condition of the chassis? has it been repaired or replaced?
Why has the car received a new bonnet, was there accident damage or is this the original bonnet just requiring painting?
