FOR SALE MY 1987 MODEL LOTUS EXCEL S. A. 2. 2 180 BHP IN THE BEST COLOUR ((RED)) WITH A BEIGE LEATHER INTERIOR AND WHEN I SAY INTERIOR LOTUS MADE EVERYTHING IN LEATHER THE SEATS THE DOOR CARDS THE CENTRE CONSOLE . EVEN THE DASH!.

THE S. A. IS THE VERY RARE AUTOMATIC VERSION OF THE S. E. MADE IN A VERY SMALL QUANTITY ( OFFICIAL FIGURE UNKNOWN BUT SPECULATED TO BE SOMEWHERE BETWEEN 40 AND 75) THERE WAS LESS THAN 2300 EXCELS EVER MADE IF I REMEMBER CORRECTLY WHICH MAKES THIS A FUTURE MONEY SPINNER.

I HAVE A FULL AND EXTENSIVE SERVICE HISTORY UPTO WHEN I PURCHASED IT SOME 6 YEARS BACK. AND SINCE I HAVE LOOKED AFTER IT MYSELF IT HAS SEEN LITTLE MILEAGE IN MY OWNERSHIP WITH ONLY THE ODD RUN OUT TO CAR SHOWS OR THE ODD SUNDAY JAUNT. EXCEPT THE ONCE WHEN DECIDED ON A WHIM TO DITCH THE MOTORCYCLE AND TAKE IT TO LE MANS 24HOUR FOR A LONG WEEKEND. THAT IS HOW RELIABLE SHE IS.

SHE HAD A FULL REPAINT ABOUT 3 YEARS AGO ALONG WITH A RECOLOUR OF THE LEATHER AND THE HEADLINING WAS CHANGED FROM STD GREY TO BEIGE TO COMPLEMENT THE REST OF THE INTERIOR. LAST WINTER SHE ALSO HAVE A FULL BRAKE STRIP AND FLUID CHANGE. RECENTLY REPLACED THE ANTI-ROLL BAR BUSHES FOR POLY BUSHES. SHE STARTS 1ST TIME EVERY TIME AND IS ALWAYS A PLEASURE TO DRIVE.
