Restoration details –
Taken back to bare metal. the body was fitted with 2 full front wheel arches. rear valance. B-post repair section. offside rear sill repair section and both cargo skins. all supplied by Autocraft. The work was all carried out by IRVS VW Restorations. who has picked up a number of trophies at shows for his restored VWs.
There are many. many new parts fitted. New front door handles (matching keys). rear popout frames. glass and catches. cab door tops. quarterlights and glass (with new seals for quarterlights and cab doors). wiper spindles. battery. rear light clusters. fusebox. fuel lines. not to mention all the new metal and paint. There is a large folder of receipts of all the new fitted parts.
The engine has been given a full new set of seals. and new pushrod tubes. There is a small leak from (I think) the flywheel oil seal. but it only leaks after a long journey. but nothing out of the ordinary or anything to be worried about. I have driven over 2000 miles since the fresh MOT was given on June 18th. and it has performed brilliantly.
It returns a fuel economy of between 25-30 mpg. The restoration has totalled over £11k. and we have a folder full of receipts and a fresh MOT with no advisories.
It's going to need a new brake servo at some point. as the current one has a vacuum leak. I've not bothered about fitting it. as I'm a big lad and don't have any issues stopping it without servo assistance.
The roof rack will be included in the sale.

Hello Sir
I have a random question for you from far off Melbourne Australia - I absolutely LOVE the color of your bus and was wondering if you had or have access to the actual formula? I have a 68 mustang fastback that is ready for paint as of this week and this is the blue I have been searching for.
My wife is British and is great friends with Simon Emery of Paintbox in Essex, so we love vintage VWs. If I was richer I would love to buy your bus - I think it looks magnificent.
Good luck with the sale
Thank you for your time
Drew
