1972 International Harvester Scout for sale

She's Back on the Road! Bought this 4 x 4 Scout II from my neighbor who parked her 15 years ago in his front yard with a transmission problem. I finally got him to sell it to me so I could get her back rolling. I fixed the automatic by replacing the torque converter. she shifts smooth as glass now. She fires right up and runs strong. She drives true and stop great. I replaced almost every brake part on her. Drives great on the freeway. has high gearing. no bumps steer. wander. or pull. She didn't have a top when we got her so we made a removable soft top like a full length bimini top from the old soft top frame. black marine vinyl and UV thread. Easy to put up and down. stores in the back of the bed when down. Critters had got to the wiring in the worst way so i pulled it all off and installed a new painless wiring kit. Gas tank was full of turpentine so I replaced it and all the fuel line and pump. Of course tires were long ago shot so she sits on brand new 33 x 12. 5 rubber on aluminum alloy old school rims. We put a cover on the dash and front seat. painted the interior with a semi gloss black enamel and installed a better steering wheel.
We have clean title for California. registration is currently non-op. Only about 90 bucks to get her tagged. no smog required.
Scout is located in southern California zip code 92081. We can assist with loading on transport or she can be driven home if you get a day pass from DMV or AAA. She's got duel exhaust with cherry bombs. sounds like one of those speed boats we see on the lake.
She does have an acne problem but it's only skin deep.
Her bones and muscles are solid.
