Current customer rating:
We are having a clear out from our factory . This is an advert for a steel tubular chassis .
In 2001 it was 100 years of A. C. Cars . To celebrate this at the Brooklands Factory there was an idea to produce a Centenery Cobra to celebrate the 100 years of the the oldest surviving British manufacturer of Motor Vehicles AC Cars . the idea was to build an FIA bodied leaf sprung Cobra with twin roll hoops and the larger main chassis tubes from the 427 . our chassis is the prototype and has been in store at Brooklands for 12 years . It is manufactured at AC Cars by skilled artisans on AC factory tooling and jigs . Original 289 Suspension will bolt straight on this chassis and will accept the small block 289 /302 V 8 ford motor . borgwarner T 10 or toploader gearbox and sailsbury differential . the superleggera tubing is the same as the Shelby FIA Racing cars of the 1960's . Therefore an aluminium FIA body from our original 1960`s body bucks will fit on both the tubing and chassis . the main chassis are 4 inch in diameter not three inch as std . We can supply parts to assist the build however the chassis is whats on offer . it has surface rust and will require a media blast and phosphate coating before the gloss black is applied . other than that its new old stock . It has a Brooklands AC Cars Booklands chassis plate and chassis number .
This is a unique opportunity for a true AC enthusiast to own a part of AC Cars history . We will issue an AC Heritage certificate for the chassis to verify its origin and authenticity . In the AC Cars records it is recorded as "an AC chassis " . viewing strictly by appointment see Team AC Facebook or www. ACHeritage. co. uk call 7 for more info this is a great project for the AC enthusiast to build a car of their dreams .
We have added some photos of the body style for the chassis for refrence only.

Hello there AC,
What is the chassis number assigned to this Automobile? Around 2001 AC Car Group moves locations to Frimly, is this one of the last produce from Brookslands?
