I recently purchased this Jaguar from its previous Doctor/collector owner. He owned the car for 26 years. The clock shows 19261 miles. which is actually 119261. which shows on the title which is still in his name. This car has not moved in 26 years. Because the car is in absolutely amazing rust free condition. he decided to have a professional completely overhaul the motor and transmission at a cost of $12 K. This was completed a few years ago. and the drivetrain was installed in the car. Unfortunately before the final finishing could be completed. the mechanic passed away. The previous owner then let it sit in his warehouse with the other vehicles. This Jag's floors. sills. wheel arches. window surrounds. and vinyl edges. are in beautiful condition. which is almost impossible to find. The dashboard. clocks. switches and wood trim are like new. The carpets and headliner are excellent. The seats and door panels are in bad condition. with lots of cracking and marks from sitting for such a long time without care. The paint. both on the exterior and the engine bay is original and excellent. except for a big deep scratch on the passenger door. It also has a very slight dent on the right front fender. The decklid of the trunk has been resprayed at some point as well. The chrome on the bumpers and hubcaps is not perfect. and does show some pitting. The glass is excellent all around. The rubber stripping on the side windows is tight but hard so may need replacing. To sum it up. this a rust free example with a complete motor and tranny overhaul that just needs a finishing. Any physical inspections are welcome.
