Datsun 2000 Roadster - SRL311 - 1967.5 - w dual Solex Competition Package for sale
Current customer rating:
For sale is my 1967. 5 Datsun 2000.
As mentioned above. this car is very rare (estimated less than 300 produced with the competition package). I have owned this car for a few years and I drive it for fun on sunny days.
It is very quick and handles like a new car.
The exhaust note and the 150 horses being run through the 5-speed transmission is a very gratifying experience for those of us who appreciate such events. The operating condition of this car is amazing.
It fires right up every time. runs perfectly. steering is tight. and it tracks straight.
I would rate the exterior of this car a 7 out of 10.
The nemesis of these cars is rust. and this one has ZERO RUST ANYWHERE TO BE FOUND. The body is straight and the paint is decent. For some odd reason. the prior owner removed all the brushed stainless steel trim pieces and I never bothered to reinstall them.
I planned to repaint the car and install these trim pieces afterward. All of these trim pieces are included with the sale.
Also included is a replacement windshield. for there is a crack in the current one. The interior is quite nice. with red vinyl seats and and black carpet.
There is a roll bar installed and it really looks good. I have extensive historical documentation of this car. Apparently. the primary owner throughout this car's life was quite meticulous. for there are pages and pages of hand-written notes pertaining to maintenance and such. This car really needs a professional paint job and some more attractive wheels and it would be a gem that would be a joy to drive and would only increase in value in the future. The rarity of this car separates it from so many other collector cars.
Money spent on improving it's cosmetics will be easily recouped. unlike so many other auto projects.
