Extremely rare 1971 Cougar XR 7 429 ram air

Numbers matching engine and transmission

Of the 231 Cougars built with 429 ram air. only 157 were XR 7 coupes. This one was ordered by a Canadian dealer as a “dealer demonstrator” with every available factory option from the electric sun roof to the engine block heater. Of all the Cougars built. only 0. 6% had the sun roof. This completely optioned Cougar is likely the highest priced Cougar built for the 1971 model year.

Owned since 2003 when I bough it with 57547 miles. Ground up restoration completed in 2011
