1976 Toyota Land Cruiser

This Land Cruiser has been taken down to the frame and reconditioned. It is not a complete full restoration but the body was taken off. reconditioned. epoxy primed for sealing. and painted in new Quicksand from the Toyota TRD line. It was finished with a matte clear coat and then linexed in all the areas where land cruisers get beaten up and tend to rust. The linex provides a super durable finish that is extremely water resistant. The fenders. rocker panels. underside of tub. interior of tub. hood. top. and windshield where all finished in the matching quicksand linex. The body was put back on with new poly bushings. The interior was refinished with black marine grade vinyl upholstery. All hinges and trim were refinished in either satin black paint or satin black powder coat. The cruiser was lifted 2. 5" and fitted with new Old Man Emu nitrocharger shocks. The original FJ 40 wheels where refinished satin black and wrapped with new 33" BFG KM 2 Mud terrain tires. Door panels where replaced with new safari style panels. All weather stripping was replaced on the doors. and hard top. New glass and seals on rear doors. Original roll cage was refinished gloss black. Stainless and zinc bolts were used during rebuild.

Tons of professional work and attention was put into the vehicle. It will truly last a lifetime and be a one of a kind cruiser.

The vehicle was refitted with the Chevy v 8 350 small block by the original owner here in NM. I have no information about the dates as it was sold off by family. It runs incredibly strong and fires right up. An auxiliary fuel tank was also put in by the original owner and can be switched back and forth between original on the dash. Original Transmission shifts smoothly and the 4 x 4 works great! The original owner also installed the sunroof.

A new battery was put in. air filter. and a few hoses replaced. New fluids were put in to the engine. transmission. t-case. and differentials. Brakes were done recently. as well as parking brake rebuild. New drivers side window crank. Knuckles are sturdy and smooth. No noticeable fluids leaks.
