1965 Mercedes-Benz 230 SL Roadster

Up for auction this spectacular low mileage 1965 230 SL. This Pagoda was the beneficiary of a restoration some years back and still shows extremely well. this beauty is finished in Light Ivory over Red leather. This SL comes with both hard top and ragtop. both of which are in very good condition. Aditionally. this car comes optioned with the very rare and desirable rear jump seat!

This car is a very clean and honest car. it retains all of it's original sheetmetal. the restoration did not involve the replacement of any floors or rockers so it has not been compromised structurally.

-Exterior-

During restoration. this car was repainted in it's original 670 H Light Ivory. which to this day looks amazing. The undercarriage is as spotless as the body. this car looks like it was never driven in the rain let alone any snow. on this car.

This roadster comes with both hard and soft top. The hard top is in great condition. no dents in the metal or chrome.

all the glass is nice and clear with no hazing. the headliner is spotless with absolutely no stains. rips or tears. The original black soft top is in very good condition. no tears or signs of wear. The soft top's frame is in perfect condition and operates with ease.

Tires are brand new. with close to 100% of the tread remaining. The hubcaps and trim rings are all in excellent condition.

-Interior-

The red leather interior is in near pristine condition. The carpets are spotless with no stains. wear. rips or tears. The leather seats are in outstanding condition. The interior chrome accent pieces are flawless. The wood trim is in perfect condition. As seen in the pictures. the interior is nearly perfect. the only thing I would do is remove the red paint from the gear shift lever. for whatever reason. the previous owner decided to paint it. but that can easily be reversed and brought back to original with a little paint remover.

The original radio was sent out to be rebuilt. during the rebuild an i-Pod cable was added so that you can take your music with you. Should you chose to do so. the cable can be tucked under the dash for aesthetic purposes.

-Engine & Transmission-

The original six cylinder engine starts up on the first try and it is strong as ever. It runs and idles as it should. with no problems. The transmission shifts seamlessly through the gears with no slipping or jerking. There are no strange noises or vibrations from the engine or drive train. all you hear is the wind whipping through your hair. It drives nice and straight at any speed.

The exhaust was replaced during restoration.

Overall this car is in very good. near perfect condition. but makes for a very very nice driver.
