CHESIL PORSCHE 356 SPEEDSTER REPLICA 2003

About Lysl.

Lysl is a Chesil factory built Porsche 356 replica from 2003. She had one owner from new and had completed less than 2500 miles when I bought her at the Car Fest Silverstone auction in August last year. She's been a very lucky girl and has been garaged throughout her life and serviced annually despite completing less than 350 miles a year. She is finished in polar silver (metallic) with a black hood and red leather interior and an antique red carpet. She has a 2000 cc twin carb flat four engine developing 110 BHP and a stainless steel exhaust system. She has independent rear suspension and sticks to the twisty Yorkshire roads like glue! She has a Moto-Lita steering wheel and a single CD / radio system and because she is a rather desirable beauty. she has a factory fitted immobiliser.

Why is she being sold?

I may have made a small error of judgment in buying Lysl without warning my dear lady wife I intended to do so and having already promised her a new camper van to tour Europe. She quickly spotted that Lysl had no beds. no shower room. no kitchen and not much space for camping utensils and has not been persuaded over the past 13 months that touring Europe in Lysl would be even more fun and potentially much quicker!

Lysl comes with all supporting paperwork showing that she cost over £28. 00 when new. less than 3. 00 miles ago. She would not cost well in excess of £30. 00. She is close to showroom condition with the exception of the minor defects listed above and she spends the winter under her cosy cover plugged into a battery conditioner. She is started and moved every 2 weeks to get truly warmed through while waiting for summer. This summer she has enjoyed a tour of the Lake District in the sunshine with the wide open sky and mountains above her and the clear cool water of the lakes within touching distance. She is quite ready for any impending Indian summer we may yet enjoy.

The photos do not show that Lysl has a couple of very light short scratches under the nearside headlamp and on the top side of the front bumper. It may be that these can be polished out as they do not reach the primer layer. She also has a very short scratch on the near side panel behind the passenger door which would require touching in to hide completely. in my opinion. I have purposely avoided the use of coloured polish so that surface defects are apparent to a potential buyer but use of such a polish may actually hide all of the mentioned minor blemishes.
