You are looking at the sale of this TVR Tasmin 280 I . hese  cars are quite rare these days as only 1162. 280I v6`s where ever built . They used the 2. 8 cologne v6 engine with the reliable bosch fuel injection system. They had disc brakes all round with the rear differential and brakes from the jaguar XJS. All put together on a spaceframe chassis with fiberglass body with the whole car only weighing around 970 kg.  

This car has been part of the TVR club scene for many years and has been well maintained by its previous owners with bills and invoices for many thousands spent over the years.

In my opinion this is one of the coolest looking old TVR`S about. And always reminds me of the lotus esprit that james bond used and in fact I think it was styled for TVR by the same person

It's hard to believe that this car is nearly 30 years old

It starts runs and drives well with plenty of free revving power from the V6. This is the later Tasmin that had the very Strong Sierra 5 speed gear box That is very smooth through the gears with a good clutch. The engine has no leaks and doesn't use any excessive oil or water.

The exhaust sound fantastic with an engine note only a TVR can have. If your shy and retiring this car isn't for you as it does turn heads wherever it goes.

In the last few years the car has had a full stainless steel exhaust system (Twin pipes) and the seats re-trimmed and also a full set of tyres which are still as new with a good spare. new battery and a full service including distributor cap . It also had the valves and tappets all set up correctly by a retired ford mechanic who specialised on these engines in the 80`s

It's just gone straight through the MOT with no advisories and a comment by the tester that the chassis and general underside is in very good condition.

                  The roof/hood is in good original condition and works well with no leaks. The centre panel lifts off and stores in the boot with the rear section folding down

The overall condition of the car is very good for the year it has a few small scuffs and minor stone chips. but overall the body is very clean and tidy. . he bodywork is not perfect by any means but for its age is very presentable.

The interior is very clean and tidy. The seats have been re-covered in the last couple of years with receipts to prove and look very good as does the rest of the interior

We have the original TVR owner's manual/book pack with every mot from new to prove the mileage and a box full of receipts/invoices 

Like I say the car is in good order for its age it's a cracking old sports car with bags full of character and sounds fantastic
