Current customer rating:
1985 GMC Sierra Classic 1500 The engine and transmission has been swapped out and replaced with a 350 (bored to 355)There was a new cam installed(I did not do the work) This is what was told to me when I bought it. I just swapped the rear end and it is working good New Seat This truck has been sitting for about 3 years. I bought it with the best of intentions and unfortunately have not done a whole lot with it because lack of garage and time I have put a different rear end in it I got the heater fan working I just bought a replacement gas tank (has not been installed)
What I Know: The engine has been running great since I bought it getting started at least once a week. The other day I charged the battery and started it up and the engine was misfiring. I pulled all the plug wires and it died on every one of them except one (thinking a bad plug or wire is the culprit) After buying the truck the spyder gears cracked on me so I replaced the rear end (have an extra set of spyder gears and carrier)
This truck has lots of potential and would be an awesome project truck to someone who has a little time and $It will definately need some work to be road ready but has lots of goodies Some rust on drivers side floor board and on both fenders (for an 85 this truck is fairly clean)Both gas tanks have leaks (have a brand new one just not installed)This truck has a great lope to it and has dual glass packs I am not a mechanic and have tried to list everything as accurate as possible Please contact me if you have any further questions!!
