You are bidding on a Restored Original 1951 Hudson Hornet 4 Door Sedan. This Classic is in remarkable condition and has obviously been well cared for over its 62 years of operation. Always Garaged. The Paint was redone in 1989 and Painted Two Tone Red on Red with the Top and Lower panel a Dark Red with Medium Red used on Center Panel. Interior is Original in Excellent Condition. the worlds largest (at the time) Flat Head 6 Cylinder Motor at 308 Cubic Inch's with the Optional “Twin H-Power” Dual Single-barrel Carburetors. Gears are handled by a completely Rebuilt Original Hydromatic Transmission.

The Hudson Hornet was produced by Hudson Motor Car Company of Detroit. Michigan. between 1951 and 1954. A functional “step-down” design with dropped floor pan that merged body and chassis and produced a lower center of Gravity than contemporary vehicles helped the Hornet Handle better than its competition. This lower and sleeker look was accentuated by Streamlined styling. This all earned Hudson an image that for many buyers eclipsed luxury marquees like Cadillac.

Stock Suspension

The Interior is in excellent condition. Original Upholstery throughout. The Dash is Original painted with Burl Wood Grain and with Original Gauges and Gauge Panel and Additional Hudson Hornet Components. Additional gauges have been mounted below the Uncut Dash that report Amperage and Oil Pressure. All Window Glass. Weather Stripping and Rubber Gasket are in excellent condition. All Lights. Signals. Wipers and Horn are in working order.

The Exterior is Straight and Rust Free. Painted Two Tone Red on Red in 1989 that still looks good (some minor scratches associated with normal use). All Chrome and Trim is in very good to excellent condition. Door. Hood and Trunk Alignment is excellent. Trunk is in great original condition. Undercarriage is in very good condition with only minimal surface rust nothing structural. The Engine compartment is clean. organized original condition. Engine was replace in 1989 and runs excellent. Wheels are Original with Stock Hubcaps and Uniroyal “Royal Seal” Whitewall tires. Runs and Drives Great.
