BEAUTIFULLY RESTORED 1968 PONY MUSTANG: A TRUE CLASSIC!
Up for sale is a gorgeous recently restored 1968 Ford Mustang Convertible. A solid and straight Classic Pony. Body is in fantastic shape with no rust. a true California Car.   The car is a blast to drive and runs great.   She can be used as an everyday driver or becomes the star at any car show.   A great investment piece for any serious car collector or car lover that wants a fun daily driver.   She starts right up and sounds great (see other video).   Power top is in excellent working condition. Pictures don't do her justice and I implore everybody to please come take a look at the car if you are local and bale to do so.

To my knowledge the car has never been in any serious wrecks or accidents.   The mileage on this vehicle shows just 115. 00 which we don't believe to be accurate. but was not altered with when the restoration was completed in 2008.   There has been approximately 16. 00 miles on drivetrain and chassis since the restoration 5 years ago.   She was originally built in Dearborn. MI and sold from Kirby Jones Motor Co Ford in 1968.   She was later moved to California in (from what I was told) 1971 and lived in California until 2007 when it was then shipped off to Alabama.   This is where she was given her full overhaul and restoration by Precision Restorations. who has one of the finest reputations in automotive refinishing.   Several of their vehicles have been featured in the infamous Barrett Jackson auctions and classic car shows across the world.   The restoration was a full body overhaul: The chassis was stripped down to bare metal. floor pans replaced. interior removed and replaced with a new red deluxe interior kit including all new carpet. upholstery. seats. door panels. weather stripping. & dash console.   The chrome was all replaced with new bumpers. grills. emblems. caps. and door knobs.   The engine and transmission were rebuilt and finally it was given new a stunning new fresh paint job to match the original Wimbledon White. Ford color code M1619.   She was then relocated back to Southern California in 2011 and has been garaged ever since.

There was only a limited number of Mustangs built with this combination.   A very rare find in search of a new owner.

THE DIRT:
As with any vehicle. she is unfortunately not perfect.   Since many of you eager bidders will not be able to view the car in person (if you aren't local). so I will try my best to disclose all the faults.   First. there is a small tear in the rear quarter panel (passenger's side) of the interior in the back (see photo #1).   The tear is about ½ the size of my pinky nail.   It's only noticeable from one side. Second. there is a scratch/dent on the driver's side fender.   This was from a garage accident when a pole fell and scraped the side of the car.   It was not yet addressed by a proper automotive repairman. but it could easily be popped out and most likely touched up fairly easily.   The scratch in paint is about the size of my pinky nail. (See photo #2).   Third. there are some scratches behind the gas gap below the trunk.   For the most part. these cannot be seen when the gas gap is attached. but only when it's time to fill up with Gas. (see photos #3 & #4).   Fourth. there are some slight yellow discolorations on the paint under the hood.   This appears to be from the carburetor.   (see photo #5).   Fifth. I'm not sure if the A/C is working.   I was under the impression that it was working fine. but after showing the vehicle to somebody last week we tested the A/C and we couldn't get it to work.   I have not yet brought it into an automotive mechanic to troubleshoot the issue.   Lastly. the Steering wheel has some discoloration on the top.   This is because the steering wheel is the Original!  I have another wood / aluminum Shelby style steering wheel that was purchased during the restoration. but we choose to keep the original matching steering wheel for authenticity.
