1971 Toyota FJ 40 - Fresh Restoration! (see video for walk around)
Over 160 hours of body work went into this flawless $10 k paint job. and it really shows when you see it in person. ! All doors. windshield. badging etc. was removed for prep and paint work.
The metallic gun metal paint up against the black grill. top. safari rack and wheels looks incredible!!
This FJ has ZERO rust and is very sound mechanically and cosmetically.
The motor was recently rebuilt by the previous owner. and is a Chevy 350 V 8. mated to a 4 speed Manual transmission with stock transfer-case and axles. As you'll see in the video. the motor is VERY healthy. starts right up and runs excellent and doesn't smoke. Fresh 3" exhaust was just installed as well. and sounds AMAZING!!
It tracks down the road straight as it should. and can be driven with one hand at freeway speeds. And thanks to the addition of Power Steering . turning the BRAND new 32 x 11. 5 x 15" BF Goodrich All Terrain tires is super easy. The wheel and lugs and brand new as well. The Carb is newer and has electric choke. and the brakes system has recently been refreshed. along with the clutch master cylinder.
Up top is a well placed Safari rack. complete with brand new Hi-Lift Jack. and Rescue Shovel.
Over $2 k was spent cleaning up the wiring. and making sure that every light and turn signal functions as it should. All lights are brand new by the way.
Inside. the steering wheel is a new Grant Suede Leather wheel. which compliments the Brand New Corbeau reclining front Bucket Seats. and Rear Bench Seat. New seatbelts have been installed as well front and rear.
FJ 40's are getting harder and harder to find and are rising in value FAST!
This is a very nice Land Cruiser that you can drive comfortably right away. as it needs nothing.
All doors seals are new as well. as is the windshield.
