1955 Ford Fairlane Club Sedan
What I have for auction is a low mileage. 22. 64 Club Sedan. Purchased from the gentleman that owned the car since 1988.
He found it setting under a carport in Southern Ohio.
He painted it in 1989 with Acrylic enamel. It still looks good. you wouldn't think it was that old of paint. He later put new seat covers and carpet in the car while he was enjoying it. It has the original paint on the dash and garnish moldings. Also the metal seat base caps are original paint in great finish. It has the original glass and felts and weatherstripping still on the car.
Later on in ownership he decided to put the continental kit on. He has kept it in a heated and cooled garage with a dehumidifier setting on carpet. I've known the car since 1989 when he used to show it . The paint on the trunk floor is still original and is really in great condition. I believe the spare is original to the car. He had the gas tank and fuel lines replaced a few years ago. I just went through the brakes. it still had the original wheel cylinders and front brake shoes on the car. Underneath is rust free from what I saw while working on the brakes. It has dual exhaust that is quiet. The engine is original. never been rebuilt and runs real quiet and smooth. The transmission shifts just like it should. The bumpers have been replated and I believe the grille assembly is still original. The side stainless is in great condition. It still runs on the 6 volt system. Radio still plays and sounds good just like 1955. This is a very nice super solid 55 Ford. You can't buy one and restore it for the reserve I have on it. You don't find very many this original 55's out there today. It drives good considering the bias ply tires are aged. I believe you can drive it anywhere. Everybody likes the color combo on it. The paint is actually a 56 color. it was a late 55 built car. He found that out when he purchased the paint for the car. Car is for sale locally and the auction can be cancelled anytime. Don't let this sweet 55 get away. Come and look or send someone to check this car out. make yourself happy. No warranties are implied or given. it is a 62 year old car. Balance of payment is due in 10 days after a deposit of $1. 00. 00 in 48 hours that is non-refundable. This car you can enjoy for years and not have to worry about bondo falling out. Car will not be released till all funds have cleared. Bank Wire transfer preferred on balance. Call anytime with questions that you might have.
. Thanks! Jim
