Hey all you 4x4 NUTS. summer is just around the corner. here's your chance to own and oldie-but-a-goodie!  1963 International Scout – what a cute little thing!  (That's according to my wife: cute.   To help with the sale of this – think of it as a manly little crawler. )  It's not perfect.   (It's 53 years old fer cryin' out loud!  Cut it some slack. people. J)  There are wrinkles and little dents here and there but overall the sheet metal is in pretty good shape.   I tried to get some good photos but it's hard to get photographs of the dents against the white paint.   Contact me if you need any photos of something specific. I'll do my best to accommodate.

All the lights work.   Blinkers. markers. tail and brake lights. high beams – even the little blue light on the dash telling you the high beams are on - works!

Brand new front windshield.   You will get both the full top and the pick-up topper (with behind seats bulkhead) and all the glass is good in the tops.

Runs. drives and stops fine.   Slant 4 cyl with three speed and hydraulic clutch.   Newer exhaust system and new front bumper.   (That new bumper makes it look tough… it's not. but it looks the part now. )  Made before all that emissions stuff so it's ready for those goofy state laws you may have to deal with.   Original IH lock-out front hubs.

Seats-a-plenty!  I have two bucket seats for it (Pontiac I think. kind of comfy. look okay in there) I have two Scout bucket type seats for it (original but ugly. need recovering) and I have a bench seat if you want to go with the pick-up top.   The CD/radio works… sort of.   I don't think the CD player works. and I can only get one local channel - but there's no antenna so that's probably the problem.

Rust issues – again. its 53 years old – here's what I like about it. even with all of its little dinks and dents. the fender wells are solid!  There is repaired rust on the passengers floor board.   The back deck. when they installed an after-market gas tank. you can see rust through right there at the tail gate.   (I tried to make sure my photos show the worst of it. )  And because of the aftermarket tank. the gas gauge doesn't work.

I managed to snag an extra wheel that matches the four on the truck. so you can now have a matching spare tire.   The tires on it are okay for driving around town. but they are older and weather-checked and should be replaced before you do any serious off-roading.

And here's the kicker – it's Right Hand Drive!  Pretend you're British!   I think it may have been a rural postal delivery vehicle at some point in its life – who else would have a Zip Code sticker on the dashboard?

Needing attention:
The clutch pedal is ‘squishy. '  I mentioned it's a hydraulic clutch. sometimes you have to pump up the clutch pedal (like the brake pedal in old vehicles. pump up the hydraulic fluid).   I don't think it's leaking anywhere (no puddles) but it must somehow be getting air in the line.
Tune up.   It runs a little rough until it's ran for a while.   It just needs to be smoother. and I think a good tune up would address any issue there.   It runs fine. just rough at first.   (Feather the gas pedal until it warms up and settles down. )

Clear Nebraska title. it's ready to come and play at your house!
