I am reluctantly selling this very rare LJ20V ("V" for van). as I will pick up a Citroen 2CV soon and do not really need two 2-cylinder. slow and cheerful vehicles. especially since lack of space is also a concern.  My understanding is that approximately 800 LJ20s were imported into the US. with the majority being soft-top models. The truck was imported into Canada from the US by the previous owner 6-7 years ago. but he had not retained the paperwork to pass on to me. In any event. any vehicle older than 25 years old is DOT and EPA exempt and can be brought into the US very easily. This truck is even California CARB-exempt due to being older than 1975. so it can be registered in CA as well.
For those not entirely familiar with the LJ20. it has a 359cc. 2-cylinder. 2-stroke. 28 hp. oil-injected engine. It has a traditional 4WD setup and. especially given the light weight. nbsp;is quite capable off-road. I was told by the previous owner that the engine was rebuilt using OEM parts. The truck runs and drives well and does not have any issues that I am aware of. The transmission is a 4-speed all-synchro unit which shifts effortlessly and smoothly. Everything works. including all lights. the fan and the odometer. which reads 19. 22 miles at the time of this writing. Given that almost all of these rusted away a long time ago. that mileage could be accurate or it may have rolled over once.
The truck is incredibly fun to drive and a head-turner and conversation-starter. It needed some cosmetic TLC when I bought it; it had torn/worn seats. no carpets and wore faded paint. I had the seats professionally redone and new carpets and headliner installed in era-correct materials which resembled the original look as much as possible. I had the truck professionally repainted in its original colour (which I understand was the only colour the LJ20V came in). It's not a concours-quality paint-job. but is of pretty good quality and suits the truck's extremely simple. nbsp;spartan and utilitarian nature rather well. All the foregoing work was completed in the last month. There is no notable rust on the truck.
The original VIN was 104370 (as pictured on the plaque). but the previous owner had to apply for and obtain a 17-digit VIN when the truck was imported into Canada. The conventional. BC-assigned VIN is 2BGC0105920104370.
Most information and parts can be found/obtained via the LJ10/20 information and parts source website. I am hoping that this little Suzuki can find a good home with a new caretaker who will continue to cherish it and maintain it for years to come. I am glad that I had the opportunity to experience this fun machine and take it to the next level cosmetically.
Please ask questions before bidding and be serious. as I do not want to have to re-list due to a non-paying or non-serious bidder.

I used to have a Samurai and sold it when I left Hawaii and moved to Alaska. I would love to have another one. Still have all the manuals.
