The Cooper S is the top of the line in the Mid-60"s.

The Mini Cooper S won the Monte Carlo Rally. beating out Saab's winning 1 st. 2 nd and 3 rd in 1967. but was disqualified by the French for some headlight infraction. Acutally. won 1 st place in 1965-66 also.

It is a legend and the MK 1 Cooper 'S' model was the mac-daddy! I have had this car since 1973 and had it completely taken down to bare metal and painted blue with a white top.

Also. painted strips on the hood.

I drive it weekly and have always maintained it. I have all the papers that show what I have done to it.

The engine and trans were completely gone through and updated last summer,
