1966 Volkswagen Splitty

This Splitty has spent its life in Southern California making many family trips to Mexico and Northern California before it was laid up some 20 years ago where it sat in a garage in Huntington Beach until I managed to buy it last year and ship it home. The bus is pretty solid for a 47 year old has a little rust at the "A" posts but the cab floor is good. a rare thing for a split so a good indication to the rest of it. the worst of the rust is confined to the front outrigger area (both sides). There are some dents to the body work but nothing major. the long sides are very straight. doors and dog legs are all good. cargo floor is good but the bulk head has been cut. along with the dash a shame but often the case.  I would say this is an EZ or a Sundial conversion as it has the louvre windows the roof and gutters are excellent. /span> It come with an un-tested "H" number engine which when I looked up the numbers shows it's a 1966 1500 single port correct for the bus but as you can see in the pics it's a twin port so at some point it's been modified or rebuilt???So if you're looking for an easy restoration project without thousands having to be spent on rust repair leaving you more to spend on the fun bits like the interior. engine or paint  this could be the split for you. In this condition and price they usually sell quickly. I'm a motivated seller and willing to negotiate. though I don't need any trades  Call me on 07800 982287
As for registering in the UK this is an easy process with the paperwork I have. You'll just need an MOT certificate plus insurance cover note to complete the process
