Her we have a great old race car . hat I shipped from California in 2006

It was built back in 1971 by a Jim Smith who raced it all over California  and further a field in   a class that back then was called   modified eliminater or modified production.

I purchased the car from his son and shipped it from  Antelope Valley California were it had sat in storage   since 1983 when his father retired it.

Since then it has been totally rebuilt . Nothing    has been left undone . part from the paint   which I have left untouched . Its got a few marks here and there .

but considering it was painted in 1971 its pretty good.

Body is all steel with original glass

Front end is fibreglass and removes  easily

Hauser racing  fitted a new cage as the old one would have never tagged. the tinwork was replaced

I had a fibreglass copy of a stock dash fitted and had the original Direct Connection gauges refitted

Engine is a Hauser built 493 . tock  440 block that has been fitted withali main caps . ee photo

The block was decked and bored 30 over. ompletely deburred and new cam bearings were fitted

A new rotating assembly was fitted Eagle crank . agle h beam rods and Diamond race pistons to give 13. 5to 1 compression

Cam is a custom grind by Comp Cams to suit heads

Heads are Indy SR650s that have been given a stage 2 port job by Indy . given us max wedge size ports and some serious flow numbers

while they was at it . e had some o rings fitted

New valves and springs and roller rockers

Inlet was  flowed and matched to heads . never  put it on a dyno. nbsp; but I am   guessing 700ish hp

Complete build sheet from Hauser comes with car . flow  chart . am card etc

Gearbox is 727 rebuilt with the best bits . ohn cope race valve body. oan sprag . aybestos blue clutches and race bands. eep pan  . rans cooler. sr scatter shield the full works

Axle is 83/4 with Strange half shafts. Strange spool and 4. 88 gears this sits on a complete Caltracs set up. onos . way shocks. eefed up front spring hangers all brand new . Runs as  straight as an   arrow

Converter is a Coan 4500 stall to suit cam

Ignition is a MSD7al3 with MSD dizzy power coil etc

Olds chool centerlines with good slicks and frontrunners by Micky Thompson

I am sure I have missed out some bits so please ask any questions . its best     to ring me on 07970 206827and ask for Peter

I had to relist because Ebay decided I was  a scammer . I can assure you I am  not. I do not excpect someone to   just pay for a car like this . You need to see it . nd hear it run

car is in West Sussex

I am open to any sensible offer . nd will only part x for a good 68 70 AMX

Its a great old car . ut I need to build a new car . enjoy the building more than the racing . Oh it runs tens all day with a 950 hp Holley but would  benefit from a 1050 domi.

I have done about twenty passes on  this set up . ith a best of 10. 75s. nd that was taking it real easy. thanks and good luck http://www. youtube. com/watch?v=-xPTm-Ui4HY&feature=youtu. be

Video of the very first time we started the engine. water is air locks  being cleared by water pump http://www. youtube. com/watch?v=a_7OgnDwirE&feature=share
