Hi. reluctantly selling probably one of the most well known Mk 2 lotus cortinas in the country. I bought this as an immaculate restored painted rolling shell done with all new panels approx 4 years ago. i had the engine and gear box rebuilt with all new clutch. slave cylinders. master cylinders etc. new servo. new oil cooler. new H&H ignition and dizzy pack. fully poly-bushed. new GAZ coil-overs. GAZ rear shocks. new high spec 4 pot brakes and vented discs. new 105 speed full stainless exhaust. new 7" super light wheels with new P 888 road race tyres. electronic fuel system. re-conditioned original type 31 carbs. BRM rocker cover. new interior by Aldridge trimmers. fully detailed re-chromed dash. the list goes on and on. 2000 miles since rebuild. just replaced the engine with a low millage freshly built engine with water pump conversion. engine bay refreshed including new brake pipes. clutch pipe and servo pipe. This car is totally immaculate and is well kno wn in all the lotus and cortina club and show circles. winning trophies for best restoration. best lotus. visitors choice and outstanding achievement and also won 2 nd place out of 27 Mk 2 Lotus Cortinas at Brandshatch '50 years of the Lotus Cortina' celebration. Do not confuse this with alot of the sub 20 k below standard cars that are for sale. Proper car built by the Lotus Outlaws (See this months Retro Ford magazine for more of our work). Only thinking of selling as new projects under way for 2013.
