The ambulance has been dry stored for a number of years and was commissioned last year to appear in the BBC Wartime Farm series episode 5 (see you tube). In that programme we added a furnace to the front to run it on coal gas (now removed). The vehicle requires restoration but it is solid and all panels appear sound not requiring any welding. Brakes and wiring will require overhaul and the body needs refurbishment but not major replacement of component parts. It has had a new clutch and carburettor and runs as you may see on the wartime Farm video which is a combination of normal petrol engine and the gas. all the lights bumper etc which were taken off for the filming are present. It will require re-registering as it has been in storage for many years. It is believed to be of the mid 40's early 50's era
