Thank you for viewing my cherished and beloved Mercedes 500SL.

Due to a pending house move and restricted parking. it is with deep regret that I now need to sell my pride and joy.

Allow me to give you some of the history of this car.   Manufactured in Germany in 1989. in right-hand drive. as a special order for the British Attache in Singapore (Singapore drive on the same side as we do!).   The car was then shipped to Singapore and and spent the next 10 years there until returning to the UK in 1999 when the British Attache was reassigned.   From 1999 to late 2001 the car was only occasionally used.   I acquired the car in 2002.

My 500SL was produced in the very last year of the classic style and is in metallic silver with dark blue full leather trim.   The hardtop is removable and there is a new built-in soft-top in matching dark blue.   During my ownership of the car over the past 11 years I have spared no expense and lovingly cared for this beautiful marque.

For example (with receipts to verify):

- the car has been regularly checked and serviced each year

- new very high quality soft-top fitted in July 2011 (£690)

- new full length stainless steel exhaust fitted in November 2012 (£1773)

- new rear brake pads and front disc brakes fitted in March 2011 (£247)

- air conditioning recharge completed in June 2011 (£49)

- all wheels and spare treated in April 2011 (£330)

- new battery in May 2013

- MOT until September 2014

- Taxed until June 2014

- Fitted new high quality Kenwood bluetooth radio/CD unit in 2012

to mention but a few  . . .

'Built like a tank' and original rust free bodywork. nbsp;excellent oil pressure. nbsp;everything works well and only genuine 62. 00+ miles with astounding performance for a 24 year old classic.

The car has been valued by the Cherished Car Underwriting Agency at £20. 00.   As you can see. I have reduced the price for a prompt sale due to a pending house move.

Forgot to mention - the car also comes complete with a stand for the hardtop (for storage when not in use). nbsp;a windbreak for use when the top is down. a full set of Mercedes Benz maintenance manuals. nbsp;comprehensive service and receipts history.

Taxed until June 2014.

Stop Press : I have received a few enquiries regarding the condition of the chrome. leather interior and wheel arches.   The chrome is in excellent condition throughout and the leather is outstanding especially when you consider that this is a 24 year old classic marque.

All wheel arches are rust free and I have included 4 new pictures showing each wheel arch.

This is a time warp example of a well cared for vehicle.
