I bought this car 20 years ago. and took it off the road about 10 years ago when it burnt a valve. Head has been removed and is in the boot - the car is NOT running. and is experiencing the usual features of a car that has been sitting a long time.
This is a very pretty car - primrose yellow in colour. It has had a number of modifications made over the years including:Bonnet vents have been fitted (as per E Type) - see photoA series 1 Jaguar XJ 6 manual overdrive box has been fittedthe guards have been slightly flared to fit the bolt on wire wheelsa sun roof has been fitted2" SU's have been fitted to make it a little quicker off the markWood and interior are in good condition (less carpet). while the paint is in poor condition. The car appears rust free. Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate supplied with the car. confirming its manufacture date of 23 April 1964 - "Miss Prim" as she is affectionately known turns 53 shortly.
Car has been a fun vehicle to own and drive. but given my neglect of her in recent years. sadly it is time for her to find a new home - I have far too many other cars that distract me. Please see photos for details - the last two photos were taken a couple of years back. but give a better 'distance' photo of the car.
Miss Prim would make a great track car. Targa Car or weekend cruiser.
Car is located near Samford in Brisbane and will require towing - assistance can be organised - I have a neighbour with a tow truck :)
Cash on pick up is the preferred method of payment.
