After much soul searching I have reluctantly decided to offer my Magenta Sprint for sale. Looking for offers in the region of £6995. A complete set of images can be found here

I bought THJ in Feb 2011. after the subject of a restoration to a very high standard. Restoration work included a full respray in her original Magenta. (the best colour for a Sprint). full engine rebuild and vinyl roof. She sits on a SPAX adjustable suspension setup. lowered by one inch and looks absolutely spot on in this stance. She is a manual gearbox model with working overdrive.

When purchased she was put into storage for 18 months before finally landing at my place. I have spent the last 10 months upgrading and replacing parts to make this car as perfect mechanically as she can be considering her age.

Mileage is just over 23000 unwarranted. most likely gone round the clock at least once. Since her restoration she has completed less than 2000 miles on her rebuilt engine. MOT runs until March 2014. After recommission she passed first time with a couple of minor observations.

In my care she has received the following work (all receipts provided).

Complete ignition system rebuild to include new distributor and cap. points and condenser. spark plugs. 6v coil. Complete carburetor rebuilds to include new jets. float chamber. adjusting screws and associated linkage springs etc. New carburetor rubber mounts and manifold gasket. She runs on factory stock air filters and I have fitted an inline petrol filter to keep the carbs clean. Complete stainless steel sports exhaust system and manifold (obviously the manifold is not SS but it is new) New rear brake shoes. rear brake cylinders copper brake pipes and fittings Rear wheel bearings. inner and outer oil seals Full coolant replacement. carburetor replacement interconnect tube and seals and top and bottom hoses. New clutch cover (NOS with correct part number - NOT a Triumph 2000 equivalent) and clutch release bearing. new Lockheed Girling clutch slave cylinder (again NOS) and push rod All brake and clutch fluids. transmission and rear axle fluids replaced New propshaft center carrier bearing and center universal joint. New fuse box. windscreen washer motor. overdrive switch and electric cabling to switch New gearbox mount and new rear axle tie rod bushes New underseal applied Where ever possible all nuts and bolts have been replaced with new items. Most definitely all safety locking tabs. split pins etc have been replaced with new. As always with cars that are 40 years old there are a minor niggles and bits. I point these out now to be totally honest and open. These features come with the car for the new owner to resolve.

Replacement nearside sealed beam unit - current one is dim but useableNearside rear door sticking - need to refit and align properly Rear diff spigot oil seal is leaking. Not a significantly huge amount. I keep her checked and topped up. The diff is quiet and if I was to keep the car for any length of time it would be fixed. Oil sump is leaking very slightly at the rear under the engine sub frame. Again I keep the oil level checked. Two very small blemish's on the bonnet. These have been there since I have bought the car and are not showing signs of spreading. Offside rear vinyl on the quarter pillar is bubbling up slightly. Most likely an application issue. Could probably benefit from a rolling road session to really fine tune the engine to optimum performance This car has never seen a wet road or a damp day in my care. The only water she has seen contains shampoo and she is liberally protected with a good coating of polish and wax. She has featured on the front cover of a number of classic car magazines. all electronic images from that shoot are included. I have a folder full of receipts and recent history. Enthusiastically and fastidiously maintained by myself she really is a great example of the marque and a proper head turner.
