THIS IS A 1976 MERCEDES BENZ 450SL in an AStral Silver metallic color  WITH A BLACK MERCEDES INTERIOR IN excellent  CONDITION.  

THERE ARE TWO TOPS - THE SOFT TOP IS LIKE NEW IN BLACK CANVAS and recently waterproofed treated while  THE HARD  TOP MATCHES THE EXTERIOR COLOR.

Mercedes wheels with excellent TIRES.   HAS a blaupunkt  AM FM RADIO. new dash mounted speakers and rear shelf klipsch speakers.

POWER WINDOWS. AIR CONDITIONING AND POWER ANTENNA that even goes up when the radio is turned on and DISAPPEARS when the radio is turned off.  THIS 276 CU. IN. V8 ENGINE HAS GREAT POWER; REMOVABLE HARD TOP; FOLD AWAY SOFT TOP DRIVES LIKE A NEW CAR. RUNS EXCELLENT. STOPS SOLID. GREAT ACCELERATION. VERY LITTLE WEAR ON RECENT TIRES WITH ORIGINAL WHEELS.     ALWAYS GARAGED AND DRIVEN SPARINGLY IN NICE WEATHER. ONLY FUELED WITH NON-ETHENOL FUEL TO KEEP THE FUEL SYSTEM ELASTOMERS LIKE NEW.

between the previous owner and now myself having owned this roadster for 4 to 5 years we have taken care of all typical issues you will see with the complexity of a Mercedes-benz automobile and the repairs have been made at a local benz repair facility. paint is very nice with a few small blemishes.  

Work since i have owned the car by Mercedes mechanics include:

1.        New front calipers and pads

2.        Front suspension

3.        Spark plugs. wires and distributor cap.

4.        Power steering pump and high pressure hose.

5.        Fuel pump and hoses. new injectors with seals. accumulator and fuel distributor.

6.        AC system pressure switch and compressor -- blows ice cold.

7.        Rebuild trip odometer

8.        New audio speakers in dash and on back shelf.

9.        New battery

10.      new directional stalk and signal switches

11.       new antenna and motor

12.      Timing chain guide replacement

remember. this is a 41 year old car.
