Thank you for visiting another one of AUTOCHOICE Is Yours. LLC's exclusive listings! It is very seldom we at AUTOCHOICE has the privilege to represent a classic such as this 1970 Saab 95 7 passenger station wagon! In fact. I really don’t think I will ever represent another Saab wagon ever that has the history this car has and for good reason. Let’s start with the fact this car has been in the family since new. NOT to speak of the mileage on this car is what you see on the odometer. Yes. that’s right. only 26. 92 miles. The car was traded in to Eldon Vories Motors at some point in time in the early to mid 80’s. Does that name ring a bell? It should. that was my family’s business of which I was a partner. This Saab 95 was then taken to be my father’s driver and was towed behind their motor coach as a driver when they arrived at their destination. It was used in this capacity for more years than I can count. When my father passed away in the mid 90’s. my mother kept it as a 2nd driver to take to her cabin in the mountains. Just this evening she informed me it was time to say goodbye to this family icon.
In 2008. my mother spent almost $3000 to make sure everything was done to make it safe and road worthy. The auto repair shop’s owner was very familiar with this car because he used to work for EVM’s and worked on this car. The list is very long of all things that were done and is available at the end of the photos of this car. New tires were put on the car and it would really make a good driver for someone OR. it could be restored to be a number 1 quite easily. as everything is there. If I could find some of the old photos of the car behind the motor coach. I would. in fact I will go on a mission to find them.
The original owner’s really loved the car and it was their family car for many years. They kept is serviced by factory specs and a person would always see it running all over the Walla Walla Valley. It will even be sad for me to see the car go away. But I am sure there is a Saab Lover out there that will take good care of this classic. Any questions concerning this Saab 95. I would welcome a call. Just call me at (888) 249-8359 or for international callers. they can reach me at (509) 525-9782.
NOTE: Concerning the mileage. the odometer shows 26. 92 miles. In talking to my mother. we have come to the conclusion it turned over only once. The time it was towed of course shows on the odometer. in other words. it had all four wheels on the ground which of course the odometer would be clicking. The engine is a newer engine and to be honest. I don't know what year that is. but it runs in my mind it is a 1973 engine. The only reason my father put the new engine in was it had more power and the miles were less as well. How much less is unknown. To the best of my knowledge. this is as close as I can come to information on the car. For those that knew my father. he was extremely meticulous about everything he did when it came to automobiles and engines. They were always kept in top shape and ran to its maximum performance. I believe that if you want a Saab 95. this will be the best you will find for the money and condition.
ANOTHER NOTE ADDED 9/1/2013 10:17 AM.
It was requested by a number of potential buyers to see under the floor mats as well as under the covered front seats. Please note that this has been done and at the bottom of the photos there are about 12 photos that show not only the seats without the covers. but also under the floor mats and carpet that was placed over the factory carpet. It was also requested by one person to see under the front doors. Those are also there. I took the liberty to show where the car is presently parked as well. in my mothers garage.
The reason for the covers. was right after my father acquired this Saab from the original owners. according to my mother. Dad put the seat covers on to not only protect the seats from further damage. but also for greater comfort in summer heat. Thank you to those who requested to have the covers taken off. I knew they should come off and told my detail guy to take them off. he didn't because he thought it might be worse. of course it wasn't. and I didn't have time to take them off last week before the photo shoot. There you have the rest of the story!
