1956 Ford 1956 T-700 for sale
Current customer rating:
This is a 1956 Ford T-700 that was converted to six wheel drive when it was new in 1956 by American Coleman. hese are very heavy duty. Truck was originally an Air Force truck stationed at the White Sands Missile base in New Mexico-probably why truck is so rust free. Floor-cab-inner and outer fenders are rust free. Truck has the original Ford mirrors! Truck has no holes drilled in it for any emergency lights or larger mirrors - or any accessories! This truck has new brake master cylinder-rebuilt hydrovac-ALL new brake lines-done professionally-all 6 brake hoses are new-all drums-shoes-mounting hardware-all 8 wheel cylinders are new-even brake light pressure switch is new. New vacuum diaphram for inter axle differential lock or power divider lock. Lock and red indicator light on dash all work perfectly. Front axle has new steering knuckle bearings-new drive yokes and pins for the giant steering joints. Power steering has rebuilt valve and cylinder. on factory power steering. New wiper motor. nd linkage-heater motor has been replaced-new defrost duct tubes. New power out and power in PTO on 5 speed trans. and new drive shaft from PTO to winch. Trans shifts like new. ALL 4 driveshafts are new. E-brake shoes replaced-e-brake works perfectly. Seat recovered in black. Tie rod ends have new bolts and are like new. NO cracks in glass-rear windshield and right roll up window both replaced with OEM Ford glass. NO CRACKS IN GLASS. Windshield glass not clouded or smoked - truck stored inside most of its life. ALL 20" non lock rim wheels are new. LL 10 Firestone "Super All traction tires are new. New exhaust. Truck has been converted to a 361 ci engine-I was told it had a 332 ci engine originally. The 361 runs great - no blowby-starts right up winter-or summer. Has working factory tachometer. The only things that do not work are the fuel gauge - not wired to tanks. he right tank is not hooked up. nd the oil pressure gauge(Oil Pressure is 40 psi at idle and 65 psi with engine at operating temp in summer-checked with Snap on Manual Gauge). The speedometer needle was broken-and I had the speedometer professionally repaired - I don't remember if the odometer was working-the mileage was 27. 83 when I got it . nd it reads 27. 37 now. This truck steers and drives straight down the road-truck drives and steers like it did when it was new-I drive it around town-it handles really great-truck is fun to drive. This truck weighs 10. 00 pounds - has factory double "C" section frame and gusseted - has GVW of 28. 00 pounds. Frame painted with Emron. Truck has 3 shaft Rockwell transfer case. ALL output and input shafts on transfer case and trans have no up and down or in and out play-same with all 3 drivers. All 3 Rockwell T-146 open differential drivers are 6. 77 ratio. Front driver is same as rears - just spun over to turn different direction. Not many of these were made-probably none left in this condition. This truck will pull hell from its hinges! Only selling because of serious health problems. The pics speak for themselves. Thank You! Rich
