1971 series 2 Alfa Romeo 1750 GTV coupe. fitted with
race tuned 2. 0 litre engine. close ratio gearbox. 4. 55 LSD modified
to work properly. /
It has screwdriver adjustable Spax shock absorbers. uprated springs and anti roll bars (sway bars) etc. The roll cage and other race alterations would probably be out of date and not up to current CAMS standard. and the body is a bit rough. but mechanically it is in very good condition.
2. 0 litre engine with
Borgo forged high compression pistons
Revmaster cams tuned to race spec
Modified block with extra oil holes feeding
the main bearings
Ported and polished head. 11. 5:1 compression
48 DCOE Weber carburettors
tuned 4 into 1 exhaust
Has had little use since the engine was
rebuilt
It runs on Avgas or other high octane
fuel. 98 isn't good enough
There are many other parts. including most of the original parts that were removed and a 1750 engine which is apart. not together. and other engine parts as well. It has no back seat. and no original drivers seat.
There are also low compression pistons if someone wanted to convert it for street driving.
It had a CAMS log book no. S 1156 but it was thrown away by my ex wife along with most of the receipts and documentation.
It did 1:26 at Mallala and 1:08 at Adelaide International Raceway. on good tyres.
It had flared guards fitted. so the original wheel arches were cut out. They have been welded back in but it's a bit rough.
Must be removed from my shed in West Beach in Adelaide by Saturday 25 th March as I am moving interstate.
