Well. well. here's a very rare bird indeed. Though not so much a bird as a Spider! The Fiat 850 ran from the early sixties through until 1973 and the Spider was their icing on the cake - a perky little two-seater sports car so typically Italian. All Spiders were built in left hand drive form and were never imported to the UK. Fiat dealers never got a sniff of them over here. and so the few that have made it to these shores have done it under their own steam. so to speak. They reckon that there's little more than half a dozen or so Spiders in the UK and here is one of them before your very eyes!
Finished in mid-blue and with a brand new hood in navy blue. this is a true Italian gem. These rear engine Fiats are a bundle load of fun. although you can probably tell that just by looking at the Bertone design. dating back 50 years. This particular example comes from California and. as such. is a rot-free shell. She still has the original steel wheels if you prefer and they will come with the car. There are several. what I would call. small dings in the body but not rust.  Maybe it should have been checked more stringently before it was prepped and painted. I think some would prefer to paint her and some would not. This is purely my opinion of the car and you are welcome to look for yourself.  Under new government legislation. she will be tax-free very soon and she will also come with a fresh MoT for her new owner. I can also assist with delivery if required. I have described her as I see her and my opinion of a 40-year-old car will not always be the same as someone else's. They are strong in value these days (just take a look around!) and this represents a chance to grab a bargain.  Thanks. Martin (07595 020282)
