Some of you have been searching a long time for something like this 1974 Jeep CJ 5 Renegade.

It's a V 8 4 x 4 from the off-roading kings.

But unlike many you see. this one has not been overly redone or jacked-up.

Instead. it is an exceptionally honest and original CJ at an exceptionally affordable price.

Yes. that's Renegade Plum on this CJ 5. and if you're a Jeep fan you know how special this is.

It's a rare color that was only offered from the factory for a few years.

In it's final year 1974. it was only part of the Renegade Special (a package above the regular Renegade. ) So we're quite excited to have this rare paint still looking quite original on this CJ 5.

The body and this special paint show plenty of enjoyment over the years. but most of us know that's part of the personality of a classic Jeep.

And this one has far more originality than just the color.

All the great original Renegade packaging upgrades are present. including the cowl stripes. roll bar. fender flares. and cast aluminum wheels w/locking rear-mounted spare.

That's why if you're a Jeep fan. the level of originality has you quite excited right now.

Inside is more untouched greatness.

You get more Renegade Plum along with the correct Renegade padded dash. as well as the oil and power gauges flanking the large central speedometer.

Other than that. the interior is the down-to-business experience you'd expect from a classic Jeep.

The steering wheel hasn't been altered from the WWII-style original the heat/defrost controls are still mounted below the metal dash and the seats retain their tough-as-nails original vinyl (the driver's seat does show wear after 40+ years on the trail. ) Even the full convertible top and doors retain their originality.

We won't pretend that the vinyl is ideal for driving. but it's exactly what you want to show off with this survivor jeep. and at this price. there's plenty of room in the budget for replacements for when you want to be out on the road.

Another great part of the Renegade package was the 304 cubic-inch V 8.

Just like the rest of the CJ. this motor looks exceptionally honest in the engine bay. and it could be original. it even has a little flair with the bright air topper.

Also. just like a proper Jeep. this V 8 fires up easily and is ready to get to work.

Because this does not deviate from the original wheel and tire size. you get to experience the full power and gearing that Jeep intended with their range-topping model.

The result is a rather quick machine with all the power in your hands thanks to the three-speed manual transmission.

And you're going to love the extra rumble that comes from the side-exiting glasspack exhaust.

But a CJ is also about the 4 x 4 prowess.

You have the two-speed transfer case that connects to a Dana 30 front and Dana 44 rear for superior stoutness when it's time to hit the trail.

Rarely do you find something so original and unique up for grabs. So the allure of this CJ 5 Renegade goes far beyond its value. and so if you're a true Jeep fan. you need to hurry for this one as the price will be very attractive as well to others.

Vehicle may be sold by Streetside Classic Cars prior to the end of the auction. Streetside Classic Cars reserves the right to end its auctions early or to cancel bids solely at its discretion and shall not be held liable for any such cancellation.

The winning bidder is required to contact Streetside Classic Cars within 24 hours after the close of the auction to finalize the details of the transaction.

A $500 Paypal deposit is required immediately upon selecting the Buy-It-Now option. The $500 Paypal deposit is non-refundable as ending an e Bay auction and not buying the vehicle is very damaging to the seller. Any refunds will be at the sole discretion of Streetside Classic Cars and are not guaranteed.

If winning bidder does not contact Streetside Classic Cars and submit deposit within 48 hours of auction close. vehicle may be made available to the next highest bidder or another qualified buyer on a first come. first serve basis.

For balance of payment we will accept bank wire transfer (preferred). cashier's check. or personal check (vehicle shipment will be delayed until check clears).
