1972 Dodge Charger for sale
Current customer rating:
Charger base that has been upgraded. This Charger has a solid body without any previous rust repair. Not easy to come by with old cars. and a huge value compared to one that needs it.
The power train is original with the exception being the 360 la engine. Trans vin # match the vin. The engine and trans have been recently removed and rebuilt. The engine has 340 heads with the big valves. The trans valve body was upgraded with a shift kit while it was rebuilt. Also has a new Torque converter. With the 2. 78 rear ratio this Charger is a highway cruiser . 70 to 80 at 3000 RPMs.
Cruising at 50 and stepping on it will put it in first gear and the tach to 4800 . shifts close to 6000. Works nicely. This car is complete and everything works as it should with the exception being the air conditioning. All the components are in place. may have a leak that needs repair or more not sure. I have put over 1200 miles on this car recently and it's reliable.
The original radio is in place and works ( not great but that could be how it was in 72 ? ) . The paint is ok ( driver quality) looks like single stage. There are imperfections some chips here and there. All the instruments work correctly. The speedo is the same as gps and on the highway you will find that it's not bad on fuel. There is a dent in the drivers door ( see pic ) and a small rust hole ( 1/8 to 1/4 ) in the trunk pan. There is a pic but it's filled with strip calk. The bumpers as well as the trim is in great shape. There is a pic of the fender tag de coded. Some one at some point changed the hood rear valance. clock to a tach . bench seat to buckets and I think the rear tail light assemble. All to the more desirable ralley parts. Keep in mind this car is not perfect but is a complete solid and reliable 45 year old Mopar.
This Charger could be bought. driven and enjoyed compaired to many that the purchased price is just the beginning of spending many more dollars and countless hours working on before you get to enjoy cruising. Feel free to contact me with question. Tex is best / Alex 410 570 825 o . Keep in mind the car is for sale locally as well and if you purchase the funds will need to be without any doughts in my bank account before the car leaves. I have a free and clear title in my name
