1972 Dodge Charger for sale
Current customer rating:
This is a road-race built 1972 Dodge Charger. I bought the car. stock. in 2009 from a gentleman in Danville Indiana. He bought the car. while in high school. from his neighbor. who had purchased the car from the local Chrysler dealer. It had been garage kept and never wrecked. I began the build in 2010 and as it sits today. only the body. trim. and steering column are original.
The car is powered by an 11:1 compression. 506 CI stroked roller motor. which came off the Dyno at 620 H. P. 680 Lb. Ft. of torque 5280 ft. in elevation. There are 4000 miles on the motor. The crank and 6. 75 in. rods are Eagle Forged. the pistons are Mahle. the cam is a custom Crower. the port matched heads and intake are Edelbrock Victor. It has T&D roller rockers. an Engine Pro double roller timing chain. and a 1050 CFM Quickfuel on top. The pulleys are March. the high volume water pump is Milodon. and the ignition system is an MSD 6-AL. It has A. C. although in retrospect I'm not sure why. haha. The motor mates to a race built 727 automatic transmission with a Hemi Drum and MANUAL valve body. It is attached to a Gear Vendors (6 speed) and has a 3500 RMP stall convertor. Tranny cooler is high volume and all lines are braided. The 8 3/4 rear houses a Detroit Tru-Trac. 455 gears (the car runs 3000 RPM 75 MPH with the Gear Vendors). and Moser 33-spline axles. The braided Aeromotive fuel system is set up to run alcohol (I am currently running 102 octane as it will NOT run on pump gas). The radiator and electric fans are Ron Davis (runs Evans coolant) and the 20 gallon fuel tank is by Rick's Fuel Systems.
It is equipped with MANUAL 14" Wilwood disc brakes. 4-piston calipers in the rear and 6-piston up front. The suspension is Magnum Force Racing. full tube with fully adjustable coil-overs up front. welded sub-frame. and 4-link with fully adjustable coil-overs in the back. There is very little body-roll in the corners. Steering is handled through a MANUAL rack. There is no roll-cage yet and the vehicle could easily be a street car (just add power steering and brakes). The exhaust system is custom with Flow Masters and Machine gun tips. The wheels are Bonspeed Super Stars. 20 x 10 s in the rear. 19 x 8 s up front. Tires are Pirelli P-Zeros. 295/35 ZR 20 s in the back and 255/40 R 19 XL up front.
The black interior is done nicely in a high quality vinyl. the shift box is stock with a pistol-grip. The gauges are from Autoinstruments in Virginia. The car is equipped with an alarm system and GPS tracking system.
I have invested 120 K in the car to this point and have receipts and photos of the entire transformation. Feel free to message me with and questions or documentation requests.
