Current customer rating:
This unique Raymond Mays V 8 has a wonderful history . ompeting in the RAC rally . driven by one of the original " Bentley Boys " S. C. H. " Sammy " Davis.
In was then driven around the outer circuit at Brooklands in 1939 at a tad under 110 m. p. h. by " Rivers" Fletcher.
Ready to take part and be invited to international shows and events after a professional ground up restoration over several years . the car's new custodian will be able to take part in competitions or just drive as an every day sports car .
My Gentleman's carriage is perfect for larger or smaller persons to enjoy driving and navigating and has room for a pair of Purdeys along with the Hardy Greenheart and suitable suitcases in the rear.
The contrasting navy/beige lined mohair fold down roof is easily erected if required as are the side screens which have their own storage boxes built into the rear side leather panels which is another wonderful design feature and the blue faced instrument dials match the " Bira " blue radiator.
Was to be E. R. A's sports car until WW 2 intervened.
A superlative unique pre-war sports car that can be exhibited at a discerning museum or in a quality collection and a gilt edged investment opportunity that can also be driven and enjoyed.
I will include an original trio of Hanhart stop watches on a fixing plate made for me by Hanhart along with an original E. R. A club badge should the full price be met.
Any more information or photos I can give please ask me . as have an extensive file available that will of course come with the car.
Will help with shipping and provide any documentation required.
Thank you for looking.
