I am selling my classic ALPINA B 6 2. 8 e 21. This car was originally imported and sold in Japan. The car currently has 69. 236 kilometers (42. 26 miles) on the odometer. I was told by the previous owner that it is original miles. In my opinion based on the condition of the car and how it runs I would say this is accurate. The car's condition i would say is good overall. Not perfect and not excellent. but a really nice good solid car that runs great. All of the ALPINA bits are there from the original Bosch L Jetronic injection system to the 5 speed overdrive transmission. Originally produced 218 HP with 265 NM of torque at 4500 RPM. Interior carries the Alpina special velour covered Scheel bucket seats front and back. A quick primer on the ALPINA and the B 6 2. 8:ALPINA is an approved TUV manufacturer of automobiles in Germany. With their relationship with BMW they are able to focus on increasing performance of BMW chassis through research and development of all major componentry of BMW cars. ALPINA enhances every aspect of the car for performance:1. Modified Engine internals and control components to improve performance 2. Upgraded Suspension -coil overs. and sway bars to improve overall handling 3. Special driveline gear ratio selection to optimize the increased power 4. Upgraded Braking systems to accommodate better stopping power and vehicle control (More power needs better braking)5. Appearance package which includes. interior (Seats. and seat coverings. special steering wheel. Shift Knob. dead pedal). Very rare and desirable 20 spoke alloy wheels with lug locks. center caps. Front air dam. Rear trunk Lid Spoiler. special ALPINA emblems. body striping.
A few notes on the various condition points on the car Paint has been resprayed the original color on the top surfaces. Original paint on the side surfaces has crazing. I prefer all original paint even with crazing. but the Previous owner resprayed the top of the car. The original owner changed the striping from Blue/green to Black. Interior is in very good condition for its age. Some fading on the top of the back seat. ALPINA always tries to accommodate their customer so electric windows were added and the switches are on the center console on an aluminum plate. (Functioning)Air conditioning was added later and there is a switch under the dash. The AC needs a recharge and possibly some work to blow cold. on scale of 1-10 i think the car is a 7.
