Here's your chance to own a very early Datsun 240 Z. Series One. Car was in an accident way back in 1997 and has sat in my garage for the last 20 years. Has only seen daylight recently when it was rolled out of the garage for me to clean the dust of it and take some pics.
As mentioned this car is accident damaged and is not complete. It will need someone who is looking for a project and who is keen to see this car brought back to it's former glory. Those who know their Datsun's will recognise that this car. being a Series One. is the holy grail of 240 Z's. Considering it's vintage there would not be too many left these days. especially a Series One. I was going to cut this up and save the good bits but just couldn't bring myself to do it without giving this old girl one more chance at life. So here's your chance to save this old 240 Z.
The positive points:
Driver and passenger floor/rail areas are solid so is the rear floor and spare wheel well area. no rust. Radiator support panel is good also. Dashboard is starting to crack but is there with gauges.
The not so positive points:
Has been hit hard on the drivers side door/sill/quarter panel. Chassis has a bend also and the rear drivers side wheel well has separated from the body a little(due to impact) There is some dents and damage to the roof. There is rust in the dog leg area etc There is a kink on the passenger side quarter panel as a result of impact from accident.
Does NOT have a motor. gearbox. diff. steering rack. petrol tank. both doors. rear hatch. hood. guards. interior. windscreen. Please look over the pics provided as these form part of the description.
Car has never been written off by any insurance company.
Inspections are welcome and encouraged for serious buyers.
More than willing to supply more photos upon request.
Pick up only from Melbourne's northern suburbs.
