1970 LANCIA FLAVIA 2000 Coupe

The time has come to sell our beloved 1970 Lancia Flavia 2000 Coupe.

An original. UK Supplied Right Hand Drive example which is indeed a rare find. nbsp;I have only ever seen one or two others at Lancia events. this 1970 Carburettor example is also rarer than the later Fiat manufacturered car with the same body.

Bought in 2005 and shared between my father and I. we have enjoyed the vehicle immensley over the intervening 8 years but a distinct lack of use and an imminent house move mean its time to say goodbye. Between the last and most recent MOT's it wasn't used at all apart from the round trip to the MOT Testing Centre - a total of 3 miles !

Over our period of ownership. it has wanted for nothing with many thousands of pounds spent as and when required to keep the car in good. useable. safe condition and it remains mechanically and structually sound. is MOT'd until 22nd July 2014 and will be taxed for a year (which is free anyway because of its historic vehicle classification).

It has just had over £700 spent on a service. MOT. new rear springs and a new battery.

Throughout our ownership it has been looked after by trusted local garages. or for more major work it was treated to Omicron's care and attention. a well known Lancia specialist who have also supplied almost all the parts required over the years. The base of the seat was retrimmed by a specialist in a very close. but not exactly matching colour but does look much better for it.

Their largest amount of work was in 2010 when we did some major structural work to the Nearside Sill along with a number of other items. this bill alone totalled just shy of £5. 00.

As well as bills for all the work carried out during our ownership. there is a large amount of paperwork and invoices for lots of previous work over the years. old MOT's from around 1985. there is an original handbook. relevant brochures and car magazines along with article clippings relating to the Flavia.

To make the car perfect. it does need some paintwork as there are small rust spots on most panels. although non of these have got any worse during our period of ownership (the car has always been garaged). with the exception of the bottom corners of the front scuttle below the windscreen. the nearside is noticeably worse (See last picture) and the paint is broken in this area.  

Other points to note are the offside rear wheel centre is missing. the two front tyres were advised as low on the inside edge on the most recent MOT but not illegal and the chrome work is bright. but pitted.
