1968 Porsche 912 for sale
Current customer rating: (205 votes ) based onCar spent it's first years in Georgia and moved on to Florida in 1986. Most of it's life it has been in warm weather. Now it's in Indiana and I am selling her. I am a Porsche collector and and making room for other ones in my garage.
Rust free car. drives smooth and starts up every time. I always keep a battery tender on her and so did the previous owners. Engine number is 4093734. I do not have a car in my collection that I do not love and sorry to see this one go.
Here is s list of improvements made to car in the last few years:
2015-2016 - New clutch cable. pins and clevis. New oil pressure sender. new spark plugs. new throttle cable bushing. New horns. new valve cover gaskets. reset timing and idling. new oil filter. New drive belt.
2010 - Entire engine was removed from car to redo the gaskets. replace sealing rings. oil pan gaskets. etc.
2008 - New shift rod coupler. shifter parts. gaskets. o-rings. R 7 R Card Jets. speedometer gear and seals replaced. sync carburetors. horn button plate
I have a stack of receipts that total over $25. 00 that come with the car with receipts dating back to 1976. A woman first purchased the car brand new and was very meticulous on the maintenance. A middle aged family from Florida owned it for many years after her. Last 2 owners were PCA members as well.
I have the reserve set pretty low for the condition so please no low ball offers.
Body is straight. doors close perfectly. no rust. no hood or trunk damage. windows are in great shape. interior is awesome. original radio still working. original seat belts still in car and working. carpet in rear in great shape. rubber floor mats are clean with no holes. car shifts smoothly. runs strong. engine compartment clean. trunk carpet in amazing condition with spare tire and tool kit included.
All weather stripping in great shape. no leaking although I never take her out unless it's sunny out. No rips in leather seats and very comfortable to sit in. Always 93 Octane used for gasoline. Windows roll down easily and clutch is in great shape.
Small pit of paint (pictured) as well as small pit in front of right headlight. Some light bulb covers can be replaced but I never thought it was necessary. Steering wheel has normal wear and tear. small line/crack in dash about 2 inches but has been molded together to prevent more spreading. Never bothered me though. Rear view mirror has some pitting but easy cheap fix. sun visors although never used are original and foam inside has deteriorated but still look good on outside.
This car is a daily driver for the Porsche enthusiast. She wants to be driven and loves the open road. Great purchase for the Porsche investor. These 912s will continue to appreciate in price. Email me with any questions you may have. I have provided all information on the car that I am aware of. If I have left something out please do not hesitate to ask. Good luck on your bidding.
