Actually Cadillac contracted ASC/Mclaren to convert 2300 coupes into convertibles. ASC had done many similar projects for GM (such as the Buick GNX) and once again proved they were up to the task. In addition to replacing the hardtop the conversion included: sub-frame additions HD 'touring suspension' trans cooler and HD oil cooler. These convertibles are mechanically sound. This Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz convertible is a top-of-the-line model with all of the luxury appointments. It has been very well maintained for over 30 years and the original Cotillion White exterior is in very good condition. Cadillac wire-wheel hubcaps provide a great accent. The factory Carmine Red leather interior looks very much as it did in 1985. This Biarritz has all of the convenience features you will ever desire including: air conditioning power top power seats and locks AM/FM/Cassette stereo power tinted windows tilt wheel and cruise control. The convertible is powered by Cadillac's 4. 1 L V 8 that produces 135 BHP and 200 lb/ft torque. This engine utilizes digital fuel injection and delivers power through a THM 325-4 L four-speed/OD automatic and FWD transaxle with 3. 15:1 gearing.
