1939 Mercury Custom Street Rod Convertible
Note the smooth lines of this California-built Mercury street rod.
A chopped Carson lift-off top accentuates the body modifications that include molded and leaded rear fenders. Frenched running boards. smoothed trunk. doors. and hood and so much more.
Custom designed. air conditioned interior includes a custom dash and steering wheel. custom foam core door panels. and beautiful multi-color tweed fabric.
Under the hood sets a 350 SBC with roller cam / lifters and Corvette aluminum heads.
An Edelbrock intake and carburetor provide the fuel. while coated headers feed the exhaust through the duals.
A 700 R 4 transfers the power to a 10 bolt Chevy rear.
Chassis Engineering and Mustang II highlight the suspension components.
Weld billet aluminum wheels nicely complement the Camaro teal green paint.
This beautiful hot rod has been stored indoors since its completion in the mid-90's taken out only to make short runs and perform routine maintenance.
The driver's front fender was recently damaged in storage and will need to be smoothed and re-painted.
There are also a couple of minor paint blemishes that will likely buff out.
Trunk lid shocks need to be replaced as they have lost their seal and will no longer hold up the lid.
