The Fiat 126 is a city car introduced in October
1972 at the Turin Motor Show as a replacement for
the now legendary Fiat 500. The Fabryka Samochodów
Małolitrażowych (known with acronym FSM) was a Polish car
factory born from an agreement between
the FSO and Fiat in the 1970 s for the
construction of a new model. the Polski Fiat 126 p. a Polish
version of the Fiat 126. For the project. a new manufacturing plant
was opened in Tychy and was active between 1972 and 1991 when
it was privatised and Fiat Group took control.
Built by Fiat Rallye Sport mechanics in Poland in 2008 and using
an original 1978 body-shell. engine and running gear the remaining
parts. it was decided. were all to be brand-new. Included in the
interior specification is a six-point roll-cage. Brantz timing
gear. FIA seats. six-point harness as well as many additional
spares including ten wheels and five brand new snow tyres.
Perfect for the Rallye Monte-Carlo Historique or Winter
Challenge and eligible for many other historic events. rallies and
races. this Fiat has already competed at Mallory Park. the Tour
Britannia and other HRCR tarmac rallies in the UK. Interestingly. br/>the vendor's father competed for Austin in the Brooklands Double 12
in 1930 a tradition the son has maintained. With an original build
price of over €17. 00 and with an Mo T test certificate valid until
October 2013. this cheeky and very competitive rally car guarantees
huge fun and. in the right hands. perhaps some silverware…
