Up for auction is a 1968 Chevy Camaro SS350. This car was completely restored in 2007-09 by Hot Rods in Agusta Georgia. This car  is  garage kept and pampered to say the least. There has been a lot of time and money on this Camaro getting it to where it is today.

It is almost impossible to find one this nice with all factory power option. Power Steering. Power Breaks. and Air-Conditioning.

The paint is slick and the body is nice and straight.  and even though very nice it does have a few imperfections such as a small crack in the paint behind the rear quarter window in the corner. a couple of smallchips here and there from driving it through out the summer. but overall a very nice looking paint job and body. It has a cowl hood. and front and rear spoilers. The chrome. bumpers. emblems. and bright work are all in excellent condition and so is the glass. It has Rally wheels with the small center caps. beauty rings and BF Goodrich Radial TA's.

The interior is excellent. It has been completely restored to include the clock on the console which was sent off and reworked with quartz action. Everything works including Air Conditioning.   The clock works.

The engine is not the original; however it is a strong running 1969 350 Bored out to 383 V-8 which was built with performance in mind with a mild cam. It has an aluminum intake and a Holley 600cfm carburetor.  It looks clean and nice under the hood as well with plenty of chrome including the valve covers. air cleaner. and timing chain cover. The car runs just as good as it looks and sounds nice as well with the hooker headers &  Flowmaster exhaust.   The transmission is a Turbo 350 (rebuilt) and it shifts great and the car handles perfect as well. The front end has been redone with new tie rod ends. bushings and so forth and it drives straight and true down the road. Also  installed is a 3rd generation steering box to bring it up to current feel of new car steering. During the restoration the passenger and driver door glass was replaced along with the front window. Also new break fluid resivor. and new power break box. The radiator is 3 core with high performance radiator fan installed for extra air flow and cooler peformance. The car has a 2300 stahl converter. also a high performance starter.

(See Engine Photos for more detail. )

It is a pleasure to drive this car with the power steering. power brakes. and I wouldn't hesitate to drive it anywhere.

The 1968 Camaro got several styling changes. Side vent windows were no longer available. side marker lights were included on all Camaros thanks to government regulations and the grille had a pointed center. Different taillight bezels with two lamps per side were used.

The SS Package. available on the coupe and convertible. was slightly modified. The center of the front grille and the gas cap carried SS emblems without engine numerals. The front fenders also used SS emblems. behind the wheel wells just below the Camaro emblem.  I have been told it is impossible to prove any first generation camaro is a SS due to chevrolet not putting a distint number in the VIN to seperate SS from non SS. So in reality it is impossibe to tell on a 350 if in fact it is a true SS. all I can say is that the title came with SS designation and currently shows SS. the VIN numbers due tell you it was produced in Norwood. Ohio. came with a 350 CI engine.

Several mechanical improvements were made. All Super Sport Camaros and 1968 camaros for that matter got a multi-leaf rear spring suspension replacing the monoleaf setup of 1967 and staggered rear shocks. which meant the passenger's side rear shock was located behind the axle housing and the driver's side rear shock was located in the front. The use of staggered shocks eliminated wheel hop.

I hope the above information will be helpful in your quest for a Camaro and please call or email with any questions.

* This is a Driver. not a trailer queen so it is not perfect as I have noted. I have put 9 k miles on it and last 7 years. Please do not bid if you want a brand new restoration. it's been driven and is not perfect. I would give it a 8 out of 10. Only way to keep a 10 a 10 is do not drive.

I have described the camaro  to the best of my ability. This vehicles is sold in "AS IS" condition. In regards to picking up the vehicle in person:  All inspections must be done prior to delivery. The advertised mileage represents the actual miles when the car was placed on ebay.  This vehicle is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction at any time.
