SCAMP ELECTRIC CAR

Please do not delay making your offer. otherwise you will be disappointed

Built in 1965 at the Scottish Aviation factory in Prestwick

One of only 12 ever built of which only 4 now remain

3 of which are in motoring museums. the other is mine. which I am now selling

A car such as this is virtually priceless as it is so very rare

An opportunity to purchase such a unique car is unlikely to ever occur again

Please do not delay making your offer. otherwise you will be disappointed

This dinky 2-3 seater electric car was built for local trips around the town.

It was powered by two electric motors giving it a top speed of around 30 mph

and a range of 30 miles on a full charge.

It currently does not have any batteries fitted. /

however it may be possible to get it going again

Rather than ramble on about it. if you are seriously interested in buying it

then please contact me with your questions

The Scamp is located near Inverness. however it could

easily be transported anywhere.

As this is such an important part of British motoring history

I am not prepared to sell it outside the UK at any price

Please do not delay making your offer. otherwise you will be disappointed

Extras included with the sale:

A DVD with film footage of a Scamp driving through the streets of Bristol

Copies of the Motor Industries Research Association

Road worthiness reports

Copies of a magazine article and photographs showing the Scamps

under construction at the Prestwick factory

Can you please advise if this car is sold now? The ad is from 2020 so I am guessing so, but if not I am very interesting in making an offer. Thanks

from Barrie Colvin, dated 07 september 2017
Is the Scamp still for sale?

from Steve, dated 01 december 2014
Hi, is this Scamp still for sale?
Thanks, Steve

Hello, I'm working on a project about the Scamp. Would you be able to email me so that I might ask you a few things? Thank you.

from Bob McIntyre, dated 24 august 2013
Interesting to see your advert for the Scamp. One of my first jobs as an apprentice at Scottish Aviation as an electrician was to work on the Scamps. They were great fun to run around in. Remember well all the trials we did around the airport runways when the airfield was quiet
