RELISTED - Previous winning bidder has gone quiet. I've waited 3 weeks post-auction and I need it gone.  As you can see. this early kombi bus has has a hard-life. Now she is a front cabin and collection of panels (not complete). Rescued from a farm some years ago and has been sitting under cover since.
I'm guessing its about a 1955 model (has the semaphores in the side and no fuel guage).
These early Kombis are now very sought after and original donor panels hard to find.
Using this Kombi as a base for a rebuild would be a massive undertaking. but would be an investment in donor panels for another resto? For for rustic display purposes (shed or garden art)?
Have tried to give an assessment in the text below. but please review the photos as they form part of the description and explain what comes with the sale.
*Front cabin  Under-seat section looks good. surface rust on floors but could use sections.   Rust in the normal places in lower nose panel and assume the support panels behind it.   Driver front windscreen frame rusted out.   RH door has been hacked and a bit of a mess. LH door has rust at the bottom and some dents but looks quite saveable.  Front suspension beam is there and steering box but suspect in poor condition
*Roof panel - has rusted off around most of the sills. cut just past the cabin. Buckled in the back half. rust hole is in the rear of the panel. cross braces rusted on the ends. But has some curved sections that could be useful.
*Drivers-side Side panel has good sections and reasonably straight.  Rear quarter panel a good transplant panel. Some rust in window frames but quite fixable with repro panels available.  
*Pass-side side panel is quite bent up. One side door there but the other side door and surrounding panel is missing
*Rear door and eng compartment door there but very banged up (as per photo)
Part of my summer holidays clean-up. I'm not going to use in the foreseeable future so moving on to someone who will.
