1976 White Construcktor Tri-axle Dump Truck for sale
Current customer rating:
Up for sale is my '76 White Construcktor tri-axle. I was going to keep it. but don't have any immediate use for it beside plowing (plowed this past season for MA DOT). It's pretty much an Autocar. with minor differences. I'm trying to list as accurately and honestly as possible. Just remember that this is a 37 year old truck that isn't perfect. Here's a list of specs and info that I can think of -204. XX original miles
-290 Cummins mated to an Eaton Fuller RT 9513 trans.
-Hendrickson rubber block rear suspension (Re-bushed)
-Full functioning pusher axle (Might be Neway)
-Double frame to back of cab (Almost no separation between rails)
-Dump body has new floor. Sides were redone. and has three asphalt chutes on the gate.
-Elec. /hydraulic tarp setup with new canvas. which works flawlessly.
-Newer steering box (does NOT leak) with newer drag link
-4 new batteries this year
-New alternator this year
-New shift knob
-New air wiper motor this year
-Brakes are no less than 85% all around
-Steer tires are almost new
-Set up with plow lights. roof beacon. and rear strobes for plowing
-Has all DOT reflective tape and lighting. and ALL of the lights work!
-Will also include new spare air wiper motor with truck
-Does not have washer fluid bottle
-Steering needs adjusting. Turns without binding. but doesn't cut left as far as it should.
-Truck will need exhaust work and new rear rubber to work on the road. Currently has older 10/20 rubber. but they all hold air.
-Trans comes out of 3 rd/7 th if you don't hold the shifter. Ran it all winter without an issue. Doesn't grind and shifts easy.
PLOW AND PLOW FRAME ARE NOT INCLUDED IN SALE
Overall. the truck is in above average condition for its age. The only rust it has is on the fenders. which is common for these trucks. For farming or site work. you could easily run it as is without fixing a thing. It could be fixed up and brought to antique truck shows too. as these old Whites are not very common.
If you have any questions. send me a message. I recommend any interested parties come look at the truck before bidding. It is located in East Brookfield. MA.
I will not ship the truck. It must be picked up by the buyer. Could easily be driven short distance. but it should be trailed for a long haul. Thank you for looking!
