Choo Choo Customs released an appearance package on the El Camino to give these trucks a meaner styling borrowed from the Monte Carlo SS. Over the whole run. only 4. 50 El Caminos were given the Choo Choo SS package. and this 1987 Chevrolet El Camino Choo Choo SS was one of only 861 produced for the final 1987 model year. The easiest way to distinguish a Choo Choo SS from a standard '87 El Camino is the aerodynamic front fascia. and while they aren't currently installed. this car also comes with the molded side skirts for side-mounted exhaust. Although it looks like the Monte Carlo SS. the 1987 Chevrolet El Camino Choo Choo SS retained the stock 5. 0 L (305 CID) V 8 backed by a three-speed automatic. The customization of this particular 1987 Chevrolet El Camino Choo Choo SS has been taken one step further with a stereo. center console and leather bucket seats out of a late-1990 s GM vehicle. The rest of the interior is beautiful and bone stock including the iconic Choo Choo Customs chrome train found on the passenger side of the dash board.
